spanish for grown–ups —
an innovative approach in
small, private, classes

Spanish for Grown–Ups is different from other Spanish  language programs.

It’s designed for people who want to learn Spanish and:

How is Spanish for Grown–Ups different?

What's Included?

The package includes your accomodations, breakfast and an ample, home-cooked traditional lunch from Monday through Friday, three hours of formal class instruction per day, and airport transfers.

There will be ample opportunities for Spanish conversation with employees who are native speakers. In fact, we ask that you speak only Spanish during lunch.

The package also includes at least one cultural or artistic event per week, such as a conversation group with native speakers, a typical Argentine barbeque, or a visit to an artist's studio.

How is the teaching method different?

The innovative teaching method stresses the cultural and psychological differences between English and Spanish. The goal is to think in Spanish, and to speak it without thinking, as the natives do. Learn more about this approach by clicking on the "METHOD" tab.

Where are the classes taught?

Spanish for Grown–Ups is based at the Posada de Rosas inn in central Mendoza, which has received numerous excellent reviews from past guests on Trip Advisor dot com . Although the Posada no longer operates as a B and B, the same lodgings and high standards apply for our language program, (or for other rentals by the week on request).

What’s different about studying Spanish for Grown–Ups at the Posada is the family–style ambience: a casual, homey environment with small groups of people who share your goal of learning the Spanish language and soaking up the culture.

Our intent is to make learning Spanish entertaining, interesting and practical, yet not stressful. The amount you learn will depend a lot on how much time you want to devote to the material. The program will not be demanding, but neither will it be limiting.

We want you to have fun with the learning, and you’re going to have fun practicing too!

Why Mendoza?

National Geographic Traveler rates Mendoza one of 50 world destinations worthy of visiting in your lifetime. In a recent survey of places to visit in South America, they say, “After rating 109 sites ... Mendoza wine estancias came out as number 10!" The article praises the beauty of Mendoza city, as well as its excellent restaurants and many plazas, and says that the wineries around the city "are green and welcoming.”

When you’re not in Spanish class — including Saturday and Sunday — you can enjoy a world–class travel destination:
